Norman Matté
Mr. Norman E. Matté, Founder and Chairman of Matté & Company, has gained an abundance of rich and variegated experiences over the past twenty years in the field of Management and Leadership Consulting. He has partnered with hundreds of Fortune 100 clients assessing organizational effectiveness and building executive capability for future leaders. His background in Clinical Psychology has been an immeasurable assistance resolving some of the most complex organizational challenges of the 21st century.
Mr. Matté has a distinguished career creating, developing, and implementing organizational, leadership and executive search programs for Commercial and Government organizations. Particularly adept at dissolving the gridlock of traditional bureaucracies, he collaborates with executives to work together to reach consensus of placing the right people in the right positions. After serving eight years in military, Mr. Matté concentrated his attention developing academic and professional credentials in the field of Leadership, Organization, and Executive Search. In the 1980's, he engaged in his postgraduate Internship with Dr. James Farr, Director for the Center for Creative Leadership, where for a two-year period he was thrust into a broad and universal learning experience, executing techniques in evaluations, assessments, and specialized projects within Corporate America.
After serving an eighteen-month tour in the White House conducting assessments and evaluations on key executives reporting to the President of the United States, he joined the Consulting Firm of Cresap, McCormick & Paget, as Associate Director working with a broad and diverse group of clients in the US, Europe and Asia, tasked to align leadership to mission. Thereafter he became President of Kiernan International, managing their practice in the US, UK, France, Germany and Holland. In 1980, he formed Matté & Company building a viable practice within the Government and Corporate sector conducting projects for IBM, Hewlett-Packard, ExxonMobil, General Electric, Pfizer, and Pepsi, to name a few. Many of those assignments required that Matté & Company source and scope executives within competitive companies, whose product understanding would add value to the clients team.
Mr. Matté received his undergraduate and advanced degrees from Hofstra University in Clinical Psychology and Business. His Doctorate thesis: The Transition of Organization has been used as a roadmap for several Fortune 50 Corporations.
Mr. Matté has an active Top Secret, SCI clearance with a full scope polygraph.
